Reasonable selection of liner plate material

According to the principle of selecting the liner plate material for a cone crusher, the liner plate of the cone crusher is generally made of high manganese steel. The test results show that the initial hardness of high manganese steel can reach about B260, which is beneficial to improve the cutting wear resistance of the cone crusher liner.


The treatment process of material

To improve the wear resistance of high manganese steel cone crusher liner, alloying elements are generally added to the material. However, the addition of carbide forming elements will inevitably lead to an increase in the number of insoluble carbides, so that the plasticity and toughness of the cone crusher liner are reduced to a certain extent compared with ordinary high manganese steel. Therefore, while attaching importance to the alloying of high manganese steel, we must not ignore the improvement of metallurgical quality, especially the reduction of phosphorus content and the number of inclusions, otherwise, it will be counterproductive. The water toughness treatment should strictly control the water toughness treatment temperature, in and out of water time and water temperature, and other heat treatment process parameters, so that the number of insoluble carbide and precipitation carbide control in the national standards.


Rigorous casting process

While paying attention to the material of cone crusher liner, the casting process should not be neglected. Cone crusher liner wall thickness is large, fine crushing liner wall thickness up to 200mm, if the use of ordinary sand casting, slow cooling speed, coupled with the casting temperature is not strictly controlled so that the grain of high manganese steel liner is coarse. And grain refinement will be beneficial to the cone crusher liner life improvement. So, in the casting process, it is recommended to use metal type sand overlay and reduce the casting temperature, which will be beneficial to the refinement of the grain of high manganese steel cone crusher liner.
